Introduction
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Ontario Flooring Contractors website at ontarioflooringcontractors.ca, and your request for flooring services from us through the website, by phone, by SMS or by email.
By using this website or requesting service from us, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site or request service.
1. Who We Are
Ontario Flooring Contractors is a flooring installation and restoration business serving Toronto, Ontario.
- Business name: Ontario Flooring Contractors
- Address: 1265 Morningside Avenue, Toronto, ON M1B 3V9
- Phone: (343) 842-1450
- Email: info@ontarioflooringcontractors.ca
- Website: ontarioflooringcontractors.ca
In these Terms, we, us and our refer to Ontario Flooring Contractors. You and your refer to the person or organisation requesting service.
2. Services
We provide hard-surface flooring services, including:
- Solid hardwood, engineered hardwood, vinyl plank, laminate and tile installation
- Hardwood floor refinishing, board repair and stair refinishing
- Subfloor levelling, plywood overlays and moisture control
- Epoxy and polyaspartic concrete coatings, including garage floors
- Heated floor installation and the finished floor over it
- Condo, basement and commercial flooring
Service availability depends on the condition of the substrate, access to the work area, material lead times and our schedule. We may decline, cancel or reschedule work where the substrate is unsound, where moisture readings make an installation likely to fail, where access is unsafe, or where the scope found on site differs materially from what was described.
We do not install carpet. Where a project turns out to be a carpet job, we will say so rather than take it on.
3. Contact Consent
Submitting a form on this website, or contacting us by phone, SMS or email, is consent for us to contact you about your enquiry. We may contact you to:
- Ask questions about the room, the existing floor and the building
- Arrange an on-site measurement
- Send or revise a written quote
- Confirm scheduling, material arrival or crew timing
- Follow up after the work is complete
Standard message and data rates may apply to SMS. You can ask us to stop contacting you by any one method, or all methods, at any time.
4. Quotes and Estimates
Any price given before an on-site measurement is an estimate only. Published ranges on this website, including the cost calculator, are planning figures drawn from market pricing and are not an offer.
A written quote is based on the measurements, flatness readings and moisture readings taken at the site visit, and on the scope described at that time. Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
We may revise a quote where the scope changes, where concealed conditions are found once the existing floor is lifted, or where the substrate requires preparation that was not visible at the time of the visit. Any revision is put to you in writing before that work proceeds.
5. On-Site Measurement and Scheduling
Final pricing follows an on-site measurement. At that visit we measure the rooms, check substrate flatness with a straightedge, take moisture readings where there is a concrete slab, and inspect the existing floor and what it is fastened to.
Scheduling is affected by material lead times, levelling compound and adhesive cure times, condo elevator and noise-window bookings, weather affecting delivery, and prior jobs running longer than planned. We will tell you promptly when a date moves.
6. Customer Responsibilities
- Give accurate information about the property, the existing floor and the building's rules
- Provide safe, clear access to the work area, including parking and elevator bookings where these apply
- Clear the rooms of furniture and belongings unless furniture moving is on the quote
- Disclose known issues such as leaks, previous water damage, pest damage, asbestos-containing materials or structural movement
- Keep children and pets clear of the work area while tools, adhesives and finishes are in use
- Obtain condo board or landlord approval where it is required, before work starts
7. Materials, Substrate and Property
Where you supply your own flooring material, the manufacturer warranty on that material remains yours. We will tell you before installation if a client-supplied product is unsuitable for the substrate, but we cannot warrant a product we did not supply.
Flooring is installed over the substrate as found, corrected to the extent set out on the quote. We are not responsible for pre-existing structural conditions, including joist deflection, settlement, framing movement or concealed water damage, or for the effect of those conditions on the finished floor.
Wood flooring is specified for an indoor relative humidity of roughly 30 to 50 percent. Seasonal gapping, board movement and minor cupping caused by indoor humidity outside that range are normal behaviour of the material and are not defects in workmanship.
We take reasonable care to protect the property during work. Pre-existing damage, and damage arising from conditions disclosed to us or discovered during the work, is not our responsibility.
8. Payment Terms
A deposit may be required before materials are ordered, and is set out on the quote. The balance is due on completion unless different terms are agreed in writing.
Accepted payment methods are confirmed at booking. Amounts unpaid after the terms on the invoice may carry interest at the rate stated on that invoice.
9. Cancellations and Rescheduling
Please give us as much notice as you can if you need to cancel or reschedule. Where materials have already been ordered or cut to your specification, the deposit covering those materials may be non-refundable.
We may reschedule where conditions on site make installation likely to fail, including a substrate that has not dried or cured, or where an emergency or severe weather affects the crew or the delivery.
10. Project Photos and Testimonials
Photographs and reviews shown on this website are real and are used with permission. Reviews marked as direct client reviews were provided to us directly by the client named.
Work shown was carried out on a specific property with a specific substrate. It illustrates the kind of work we do and is not a representation that the same result, cost or timeline applies to your project.
11. Warranties and Limitations
Any workmanship warranty is set out in your written quote, job by job. Scope, substrate condition and the product chosen all affect what can be warranted, so we write it for the specific job rather than publishing a blanket promise.
Manufacturer warranties on flooring material, adhesives, underlays and coatings are provided by those manufacturers on their own terms.
No warranty covers normal wear and tear, damage from indoor humidity outside the range the material is specified for, water damage, impact or scratch damage, damage from unsuitable cleaning products, alterations made by others, or pre-existing structural conditions.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising out of the services or your use of this website, including loss of use, loss of income or the cost of alternative accommodation.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability in connection with any service is limited to the amount you paid us for that specific service.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under the Consumer Protection Act, 2002 (Ontario) or other applicable law.
13. Website Use and Intellectual Property
You may use this website for lawful purposes connected with enquiring about or purchasing our services. You may not attempt to interfere with the site, extract data from it by automated means, or use it in a way that damages or impairs it.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply in Ontario. Any dispute arising from them will be handled in the courts of the City of Toronto, Ontario.
