On a commercial flooring job the schedule costs more than the floor
A retail unit closed for a week costs far more in lost trade than the flooring contract is worth. That is why commercial work is planned backwards from your operating hours rather than forwards from the installation method. We phase by zone so one part of the space is being worked while the rest stays open, we work evenings and weekends where the lease and the building permit it, and we choose products by cure time as much as by finish. A polyaspartic coating at $10 to $18 per square foot costs more than standard epoxy but is back in service in 24 hours, and on a trading floor that difference pays for itself on the first day.
